It's Gonna Be a Happy New Year

More than anything else, I just really want to enjoy this year and make it the best one ever. New Year's Day I went to see Les Miserables. It was really great and I barely cried at all. I tend to think about a lot of serious things and I spend way too much time thinking about other peoples's feelings. This year I want to be more selfish and think about happy fun things. After all, life is short so I am going to fill it up with small things that make me happy like long lunches, good books and sour candy.  I am going to make 2013 the absolute best year of my life.

Christmas 2012

Immeasurably more than all I asked or imagined.  In fact, it seems like that has been what this year has been all about for me. God has put the most generous people in my life.  This has been the best year and I just want to enjoy every single last minute.

A Penny Saved

Hopefully this palm-print vintage fleur dress from Kate Spade will be my last splurge for a while. I contemplated getting a new dress for a wedding this weekend. Instead, I took my dress to the tailor to take in a few sizes. We'll see how long this lasts.
