Oscar 81

(The Bar is over. I don't want to talk about it.) I regret being too busy to post my picks for Academy Award winners. I must say that I was pretty happy with the results. Here were my pics.

Animated Film: Wall-E
Song: Jai Ho Slumdog Millionaire
Adapted Screenplay: Frost/Nixon
Original Screenplay: Milk
Foreign Film: Waltz with Bashir (granted this is the only one I've saw)
Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger The Dark Knight
runner-up: Josh Brolin Milk
Supporting Actress: Penelope Cruz Vicky Cristina Barcelona
runner-up: Amy Adams Doubt
Actor: Sean Penn Milk & Frank Langella Frost/Nixon (yes this should be a tie)
Actress: Ann Hathaway Rachel Getting Married (For no good reason. I never saw it.)
runner-up: Meryl Streep Doubt
Picture: Slumdog Millionaire

My favorite moment of the night was Sean Penn's acceptance speech. It really touched me and I loved the movie so much. Everyone should go see it.

Benjamin Button & Changeling got very little love. Everything is as it should be.

What a Week

V switched our V-day reservation at Danny Meyer's Eleven Madison Park to Sunday so we could go watch my church's basketball game Saturday night. That was really sweet. I got to wear my dress.

It was a very lovely date.

Yesterday was my B-day. I spent it studying for the bar. I didn't even get to go out to dinner. Today, I found out about a pretty preppy belated b-day gift coming my way. My sister designed a stamp for me of my monogram.

I love it.

I am exhausted.

OMFG

So I was finally able to watch GG on the CW website after missing it on Monday. I can't believe Dan (bleh!) Humphrey is having sex with that mousy teacher. They are harpies and I hope they are both killed off for what they did (well tried to do) to Blair. She is the truth. B's plaid skirt towards the end of the episode when she is talking to her hypocritical father is divine. Plus, Dan is vanilla. gross.
